The BFI London Film Festival, organised annually by the British Film Institute (BFI) since 1953, is the United Kingdom’s premier public film festival.
Each October it presents a curated programme of features, documentaries, shorts and immersive storytelling from around the world, fostering a mix of established voices and emerging filmmakers.
The festival typically includes gala premieres, competition strands, special series, panel discussions and industry events, and tours several venues across London and the UK.
The 69th edition is scheduled for 8–19 October 2025, under the direction of Kristy Matheson.
