Manchester Animation Festival (MAF) is an annual festival held in Manchester, England, dedicated exclusively to the animated arts. Founded in 2015, it has grown into the UK’s largest animation festival. The next edition runs from 9 to 13 November 2025, with in-venue events in Manchester and an extended online programme from 14 to 30 November.
The festival features competition sections (short, student, commissioned, immersive), feature film screenings, retrospectives, masterclasses, panel talks, and networking events.
MAF also presents Industry Excellence Awards honoring individuals across roles like storyboarding, character design, and writing.
