Arash Akhgari

Arash Akhgari, an Iranian-born, Montreal-based animator and visual artist whose films incorporate traditional techniques like painting and collage into abstract audio-visual explorations that often address individual and societal disconnect. Arash blends his Iranian heritage and engineering background into a unique artistic visual and non-linear narrative style. In the Shallows marks his first collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada.
