Emmy Oost

Emmy Oost produces films and crossmedia projects that combine innovative vision and social or political engagement, with a strong focus on impact&outreach;. Oost won the Flanders Cultural Prize for Film 2016 for a slate of migration films and her work on interactive documentaries. In 2009, she produced Double Take by Johan Grimonprez, selected for the BERLINALE and SUNDANCE and winner of a BLACK PEARL AWARD in Abu Dhabi and the Grand Prize of the New Media FF in L.A. In 2016 she released a slate of 3 migration films that premiered at IFFR and HotDocs and were pitched at the Good Pitch. She also was a coproducer on Shadow World by Grimonprez, that received Best Documentary in Edinburg. Emmy Oost studied Germanic Literature and Linguistics. She is part of the Britdoc Impact Producers, EAVE, Eurodoc, ACE & Power to the Pixel Producers Networks and teaches ‘Production studies’ at LUCA, school of arts.
