The International Mifa Campus, part of Mifa's initiative to enhance visual arts education and creative animation in the Andean region, has announced a series of workshops for emerging talent. These events aim to foster professional growth and strengthen the animation industry across Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.

The first event will be held in La Paz, Bolivia, from October 28 to 31, 2024, focusing on production. This workshop will feature industry experts including Céline Chesnay, Head of Pre-school Animation at France Télévisions, and producers Nidia Santiago of Ikki Films and Ivan Zuber of Laïdak Films. Applications for this event are open until August 16, 2024.

The second event will take place in Bogota, Colombia, from December 3 to 6, 2024, with a focus on distribution, in partnership with the Bogoshorts Festival. Applications for this workshop will open in October 2024.

The final event is scheduled for Medellin, Colombia, from March 4 to 7, 2025, concentrating on direction, in collaboration with the Comfama Festival of Animation. Applications for this event will open in December 2024.

These workshops aim to assist participants in developing their projects through structured guidance and practical feedback, while also strengthening regional collaboration in the animation sector. The 18 selected participants will be invited to the International Animation Film Market in June to apply their skills and connect with industry professionals.

The program is supported by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs through the "Fonds Équipe France" and the French Embassy's audiovisual cooperation teams in Colombia.
