CPH:FORUM 2025 Opens Call for International Documentary Projects
CPH:FORUM 2025, the prestigious international financing and co-production event hosted by Denmark’s CPH:DOX, is now accepting project submissions. Filmmakers and media creators can submit their work until November 1, 2024, with the event scheduled to take place from March 25 to 27, 2025, in Copenhagen.
Known for supporting innovative and visually compelling films, CPH:FORUM serves as a vital platform for creative projects across a variety of genres, with a focus on non-fiction. The event provides an opportunity for directors to present their work to an international audience of financiers, distributors, and potential co-producers.
This year, 30 projects in various stages of development will be showcased across five key focus areas:
- CINEMA: Feature-length documentaries intended for theatrical release with international distribution potential
- FICTIONONFICTION: Experimental works that explore the boundaries between fiction and documentary.
- F:ACT: Films that combine investigative journalism and activism to address pressing global issues.
- SCIENCE: Documentaries and new media projects centered on science and technology.
- ART: Projects by visual artists that are designed for both cinematic and art institution settings.
In addition to these categories, the 2025 edition introduces CPH:RoughCut, a new section dedicated to films at the rough cut stage. Five selected projects will be presented on March 24, 2025, one day before the main forum, to an audience of potential distributors, sales agents, and buyers. This new addition aims to support projects in need of final-stage financing and distribution, including potential high-profile festival premieres.
As one of Europe’s most significant networking events in the documentary film world, CPH:FORUM continues to bridge the gap between creative visions and commercial opportunities for filmmakers.
