Submit Animated Films to the OSCAR® Qualifying Anifilm 2025 in the Czech Republic
Anifilm, the International Festival of Animated Films, has officially opened submissions for its 2025 edition. The 24th edition of the festival will take place from May 6 to May 11, 2025, in Liberec, Czech Republic. Known for showcasing the finest independent and auteur animation, Anifilm 2025 promises to be a hub for global animators, providing a platform for both emerging and established talent.
Submissions are now open in various competition categories, including feature films, short films, student films, abstract and non-narrative animation, music videos, VR films, and computer games. Additionally, the Czech Horizon competition invites national creators to submit their work in categories like short and feature films, student films, series, music videos, and commissioned works.
To be eligible, works must have been completed or premiered after January 1st, 2024, and must not have previously competed at Anifilm. The deadline for submissions is December 31st, 2024, and there is no submission fee.
Anifilm is also an OSCAR® qualifying festival, which means that winners in specific categories may be eligible for consideration at the prestigious Academy Awards. This makes the festival an attractive opportunity for animators looking to gain international recognition.
