Sandbox Films and CPH:DOX have launched the $25,000 Sandbox Films Science Pitch Prize, an award for innovative science documentary pitches at CPH:FORUM in Denmark. It will be awarded in March 2025 to a project that excels in science storytelling, creativity, and representation.

Sandbox Films, a prominent production company known for its focus on science and cinema, and CPH:FORUM, the co-production event at Denmark’s renowned CPH:DOX documentary festival, have unveiled a new award: the Sandbox Films Science Pitch Prize. The prize, valued at $25,000, aims to encourage bold, innovative science documentaries that push the boundaries of storytelling.

The award will be presented at CPH:FORUM, held as part of CPH:DOX, an event known for its focus on high-quality documentaries and its dedication to promoting collaboration across industries. The prize is intended to honor a documentary project that combines artistic merit with a strong scientific foundation, ensuring that complex scientific concepts are both engaging and understandable to a broad audience.
