The 2024/2025 edition of the CHANGE Co-Production Training Course, a collaborative effort by CPH:DOX, EAVE, and International Media Support (IMS), has announced the selection of eight documentary projects from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. This marks the fourth round of the programme, which aims to foster cross-border co-productions and elevate diverse voices from the Eastern Partnership region in the international film industry.

The selected producer-director teams will begin their training in October 2024 in Chisinau, Moldova. Over the course of three workshops, participants will enhance their skills in regional and international collaboration, co-production strategies, and project development. The programme will conclude at CPH:DOX in March 2025 in Copenhagen, where participants will present their projects to the international film industry.

CHANGE is designed to support filmmakers in refining the content and themes of their documentaries while helping them navigate the complex landscape of financing and production. The selected projects for 2024/2025 span a wide range of topics, tackling significant socio-political themes such as war, corruption, patriarchy, and environmental issues, often within a post-colonial framework.

The CHANGE programme is a result of collaboration between three key partners. CPH:DOX, the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, is renowned for supporting innovative documentary filmmaking. EAVE, a leading European organization for audiovisual producers, brings its expertise in professional training and networking. IMS, a non-profit organization, focuses on supporting media in conflict zones and areas of political transformation.

The participants will engage in masterclasses, group work, and individual meetings in three stages. Following the initial workshop in Moldova, the second phase will take place in Tbilisi, Georgia, in January 2025. The final workshop, where participants will showcase their projects to an international audience, will be held at CPH:DOX in March 2025.

The selected projects are:
