Registration Opens for Mifa Pitches 2025 at Annecy, France
The Annecy International Animation Film Market (Mifa), a cornerstone of the global animation industry, has officially announced the call for projects for the 2025 Mifa Pitches. The initiative, renowned for spotlighting creative talent, offers directors and creators an invaluable platform to present their animation projects to a global audience of investors and industry leaders.
Submissions are open until 31 January 2025 and span multiple categories, including short films, feature films, TV series and specials, and immersive experiences. Notably, the 2025 edition introduces a brand-new session dedicated to animated documentaries, underscoring Mifa’s commitment to supporting animation in all its forms.
Selected participants will showcase their projects during a curated exhibition, highlighting their narrative and visual concepts to attract key partners and financial backers. The Mifa Pitches serve as a critical step for emerging and established filmmakers to bring their projects to fruition.
Since 2021, the Mifa Pitches have expanded eligibility to include projects from territories where animation is an emerging industry. These projects, if selected, gain access to the Animation du Monde program, which provides tailored support to help them succeed in the competitive animation landscape.
This year’s edition holds special significance as Mifa celebrates its 40th anniversary. Over the decades, Mifa has become synonymous with innovation and excellence, reflecting the evolving diversity of the animation world.
