Emilia Pérez leads 2025 Golden Globe film nominations with 10 nods

The nominations for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards were announced on December 9, 2024, in the USA, with "Emilia Pérez" taking the lead among film contenders, receiving 10 nominations. This includes recognition for best drama, director, and screenplay for Jacques Audiard, alongside acting nods for Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez, and Zoe Saldana.

"The Brutalist," directed by Brady Corbet, follows with seven nominations, including best drama, best director, and acting nods for Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, and Felicity Jones. "Conclave," helmed by Edward Berger, secured six nominations, including best drama and acting recognition for Ralph Fiennes.

Among other notable nominees, Sean Baker’s "Anora" and Coralie Fargeat’s "The Substance" each received five nominations, while "Challengers," "A Real Pain," "Wicked," and "The Wild Robot" earned four nods apiece.

Netflix led the distributor charts with 13 nominations, followed by A24 with 12. Major studio collaborations also fared well, with Universal Pictures and its subsidiary Focus Features securing 15 nominations combined, and Searchlight Pictures and Disney earning a joint total of 14.

In television, FX’s "The Bear" topped the list with five nominations, while "Only Murders in the Building" and "Shōgun" followed with four each. The TV categories also recognized performances from prominent actors like Selena Gomez in "Only Murders in the Building" and Jeremy Allen White in "The Bear."

The nominations were unveiled by Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut. The 82nd Golden Globes ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 5, 2025, celebrating achievements across film and television.
