In the fourth series of the series “History of Russian Science” we will tell the story of the discovery and development of the Russian discoverers of the region located beyond the Arctic Circle and the first domestic expeditions to Antarctica. Viewers will also learn how Soviet polar explorers were the first in the world to reach the South Pole of Inaccessibility in Antarctica more than 60 years ago and what scientists are working on at the Vostok station now.
